The electro power trio know as Genjini began their fruitful collaboration in 2003, and soon became an expert at having an audience bouncing around like hell. They like to refer at their secret ingredient as "the ultimate beat", which is as well, so to speak, the tartget they are aiming at, along with a strong sense of clearcut melodies, and beautiful approximative singing. Experimental, but floorfilling... Somewhere between Aha and Zappa...
Genjini has already performed the "ultimate beat" many many times LIVE-no joking- like in the Amsterdam dance event, at the Elektricity in Reims, during Les Francofolies in La Rochelle, and played several places in Paris: La Java, Le Tryptique, La Fleche d'Or, Le Point Ephemere, La Generale, along with Stereototal, Riton, Feadz, 2 Many DJ's, !!!, Boys Noize, Lo fi Funk, Animal Collective, Crystal Castles, Flanger, Max Tundra, Seb Martel and so...having toured lots and lots, they managed to produce their first 4-track record (vinyl) in april 2006, a nice black round object, a juicy and efficent sample of their taste in dirtydancing sounds.
More recently , they could be noticed among the 4 winners of the remix contest thrown by Fcom, working on Gonggong's Kawabata (april 2007), and take part in the compilation album "happy hour/after hour", by Wagram, july 2007, along with Mylo, [T]ekel, John Lord Fonda, Teenage bad girl......
